Eto • Beyond This Moment • Inori @ Arts Rush Gallery, Daikanyama
Three has long been considered a lucky, magic number. This year-end at Arts Rush Gallery in Daikanyama, Tokyo is no different. My papery creations will be resplendent in not one, not two, but three exhibitions.
First off the block is the Eto (Japanese /Chinese Zodiac) exhibition. Some of you may recall a certain crowing fowl strutting in the golden moonlight. He'll be there to wake everyone up and get the show going.
Beyond This Moment is a continuation of the Eto exhibition, bridging the year past with the year to come.
Wrapping up the first month of 2017 (seriously, can you believe how quickly this past year, 2016, has gone... although some people may argue that it wasn't quick enough, I have one very wonderful, very personal, very tiny rebuttal. Other than that, yeah, ugh)... where was I? um...oh yeah...
Wrapping up the first month of 2017 is Inori (The Heart's Window). Inori translates as prayer, supplication, hope, worship. Creatively, there's so much fertile ground to work with on this concept, I can't wait to start cutting.
All 3 exhibition are group shows, with a ton of amazing artists, builders, makers, and magicians showing off their work. I hope you'll pop on by the gallery.
