I am nervously excitedly looking forward to participating in my first art festival in…a very long time!

So, please come and see me at artDive Booth C-15 at Miyako Messe Kyoto International Exhibition Hall on October 19th & 20th!

As far as I can tell, I last participated in an art fair called Design Festa way back in 2008 (although I could swear that I went back again for a second year). It’s so long ago that I don’t actually remember much about it, other than meeting a whole lot of very cool people and being very, very tired and satisfied afterwards. Since then, I’ve moved across the country (twice), grown facial hair, become a parent, and made a whole lot of art.

This time, my wife and daughter will be coming with me to Kyoto, which promises to be an adventure. They won’t be sticking around the whole time, but they have promised to help me show & tell new friends and collectors about my art. I hope you can be one of them!

Coincidentally, artDive itself is in kinda the same boat as me - this will be their first festival in 5 years, since before the dreaded virus that shut the world down. It’s kinda perfect, seeing as I’m just …diving…feet first back into the art world since taking a little baby juggling sabbatical.
